Can a renovated bathroom be a highlight of your home? We can make it happen.

Where will you find the space for an expanded bath area in your Buckhead or Sandy Springs home? It can be quite a scavenger hunt, but we’ll check adjacent spaces, as well as pipe and utility areas behind walls. Perhaps the answer is to reconfigure other rooms, relocate a closet, or build an addition.

Worn out, dated materials are common in many great Northside Atlanta homes built from the 1950s to more recent years. While they might have fine bath layouts, the surfaces and accessories were either too trendy or just ugly. There are still a lot of pink and lime green fixtures around, as well as tile that looks just a bit too institutional.

There’s usually a range of options once we discuss your goals and see the space. Since bathrooms can often fill odd spaces, with a little creativity you might be surprised at what Paces can come up with for your bathroom remodeling. In fact, we’ve had people tell us they considered selling their house – until they updated their bath.

Different types of bathrooms require different approaches. What are you looking for?

Master Baths

Master baths are where you start and finish every day, and can also be your relaxing getaway oasis. Today’s desirable amenities like separate water closets (or privacy dividers), double vanities with extra storage, and separate tubs/showers use more space than many older Northside homes originally allocated to bathrooms. New or updated Buckhead master suites often have expanded closet dressing areas off the master bath with wet and dry areas, as well as spa elements like Jacuzzis.

Powder Rooms

Powder Rooms are considered public spaces that both guests and your family use regularly, and are often outfitted accordingly with furniture-style vanities or pedestal sinks and upgraded fixtures and lighting. Even a small space can be transformed with the right bathroom remodeling approach.

Kids & Guest Baths

Kids and Guest baths can be smaller, more functional spaces or the height of style. For multiple users, we can build hallway or Jack & Jill configurations, often with double vanities and separate showers or water closets to ease sharing.

Bathrooms for Aging in Place

As we get older, baths are an important area to consider upgrading for ease of use and safety. Many home accidents occur in bathrooms, where we have wet, slippery floors with lots of hard surfaces. Grab bars around toilets and showers can be helpful, as well as shower benches with wand hose sprayers. Paces can create curbless showers that are easier to access, and enlarge doorways and employ other universal design principles. And our Certified Aging in Place (CAPS) designation helps us with better design for all ages.

Historical Preservation

In older homes around Buckhead, bathroom remodeling usually means designing or building bath spaces that fit the period of the house. Paces can help you create modern, but historically congruent, baths using original, vintage and reproduction bath fixtures, tile patterns and wall treatments.

Green Eco-Friendly Baths

As both an Earthcraft and Certified Green Builder (CGB), Paces knows how to create energy efficient and green friendly bath spaces that will help you save money and the environment. Low-flow fixtures and water saving devices have come a long way in recent years, and many changes in local Atlanta and national building codes now require builders to meet energy and water performance standards. So your bathroom renovation can be an upgrade in many different ways.

“It has been nearly 10 years now and all their installations from lighting fixtures to the steam shower still work flawlessly. And I still feel pretty self-indulgent whenever I step into the master bath area.”
