Minor or Major Kitchen Remodels? You’ll have lots of decisions about any layout changes, appliances, cabinets, countertops, backsplash, organizers, lighting, etc. 2 hour session gives you a headstart on how to get going.
Planning Bath Renovations
From Powder Rooms to Spa-like Master Baths, lots of decisions and products go into these spaces to make them pretty and functional. 1 1/2 hour class will cover the basics and help you get started.
Building a Home Wine Cellar
Wine Cellars can range from altars to Bacchus with separate tasting rooms to understairs wine closets. We’ll talk about temperature and humidity, insulation, chiller units, racking and lighting. 1 – 2 hours.
Selecting and Working with Designers
Thinking about updating one room with paint and an accessory “edit”, or embarking on a whole house remodel? You may want some design help on colors, room layout, fabrics and other options. Paces Construction works with a number of great designers, and this informal class talks about criteria to use in selecting a designer, homework to streamline the process, shopping resources, markup and hourly arrangements, etc. About 2 hours.
Decks, Porches & Patios – Exterior Projects
Outdoor rooms and spaces extend your home’s living area and match up with our more casual lifestyles and entertaining. Placement, access, style, materials, bugs, and amenities will be discussed. Driveways, paths, and retaining walls may also come up, depending on class participants. About 2 hours, sometimes at a Paces client site or exterior job in progress.
Planning Additions and Major Renovations
Whole house and major remodels, bump-outs, dig-outs and pop-tops will be discussed. Live-in or move-out, deciding on scope and budget, square footage costs, site access and staging, phasing work, and permitting are all relevant topics. Depending on participants and questions this class can go 2 – 2 1/2 hours.
